The background on this video is that it is a middle-aged male in for a check up. The periodontist, Dr. John Kwan, uses a periodontal endoscope to look for and record calculus (tartar) formations. He then gives the patient two bottles of Periogen and a Waterpik Ultra. Two months later the patient returns and all of his tartar has been dissolved.
